The Event
Event Requirements
As the 2012 Yilgarn Rallye uses both public roads as well as private tracks the event is only open to either A or B class registered bikes and DPI permitted unregistered bikes and quad’s.
Like wise all riders must have both an MA license and current civil Drivers License or Learner’s Permit.
No unlicensed/permitted bikes, quads or riders will be able to participate in the event.
The course the rallye follows will be approximately 900 km long.
Around 75% of the total event distance will be competitive timed “Selectives” with the remainder being “Road” sections.
All bikes and quads will need to be capable of 100 km between refuels.
Quad Rider’s Civil Licences
The rider of any quad will need to have one of the following:
1. a normal civil car drivers licence; or
2. a motorcycle licence valid for the engine capacity of the quad : Less than 250cc or unlimited; or
3. a valid Learners permit for either car or motorcycle
You will still need a current MA Competition Licence or a MA One event licence which can be purchased at time of entry.
Moto Rider’s Civil Licences
The rider of any moto (bike) will need to have one of the following:
1. a motorcycle licence valid for the engine capacity of the bike : either Less than 250cc licence or unlimited licence; Or
2. a valid Learners permit for engine capacity of the bike
You will still need a current MA Competition Licence or a MA One event licence which can be purchased at time of entry.

Motos
E3 – Over 450 cc
E2 – 251 – 450 cc
E1 – Less than 250 cc
Quads
Q1 – unlimited
Quads will have to comply with DPI permitting regulations and must have lights and mirror fitted, see the Supplementary Regulations for further details.

Note: A minimum of 50 entries will be required to stage the event.
Rallye Navigation Training Session
A rallye navigation training session for first time rallye competitors will be held in the Norseman Oval Complex on Friday 4th May 2012. The time of the training will be advised in a Bulletin.
Jerry Cans
Each rider will need to provide jerry cans either 10L or 20L. These jerry cans will be used at remote Splash & Dash locations to be advised in a Bulletin prior to the event start.

Service Crew
For the 2012 Yilgarn Rallye service crew are not essential !!!
There is a mid-leg service break each day after the morning Selective, however for any rider with no service crew the organising team will be able to transport your jerrycans or other items to the service break locations so that you can do your own refuel and service.
Aside from the mid-leg service break all other refueling will be at Splash & Dash locations where the organising team transport your jerry cans for you and there is no service crew access.
Should you not have service crew and will require assistance from the organising team in this respect please advise at time of entry.
